Dahil naninindigan ang iskolar ng bayan na ang edukasyon ay karapatan at hindi lamang siya nananatili sa loob ng paaralan kundi patuloy din sa pagmartsa sa lansangan, inilulunsad ang:

Essay Writing Contest.
Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to all UP-Diliman students who joined their first rally during the Diliman Strike against the Budget Cut on the following Strike Days: November 25, 2010, November 26, 2010, December 1, 2010
2. Essays may be written in Filipino or English.
3. Strictly one entry per participant.
4. Minimum of 1,500 and maximum of 3,000 words.
5. Submit 3 hardcopies with soft copy to the Office of the Student Regent.
6. Essays should only contain the participant's student number and pen name.
7. All participants should submit a separate sheet of paper containing the participant's real name, contact number, e-mail, college unit, year level and course enclosed in a sealed envelope with their pen name and student number written on the flap.
8. Deadline of submissions is on February 11, 2011 5pm at the Office of the Student Regent.
Prizes:
1st prize: P5,000
2nd prize: P3,000
3rd prize: P1,000
