Call for Submissions: Spark Online (Philippines)
Deadline: 10 January 2011

Spark Online is a free bi-monthly, online publication, which aims to serve as a voice for building a culture of creativity and to showcase the creativity and skills of the Philippines’ community of independent artists.

Articles:

Article submissions are always welcome (even if you have no writing experience). We just ask you do the following:

1) Take a deep breath.
2) Create a query letter with a specific pitch. (If you don't know what it is, google it. If you don't have the patience to google it, stop here).
3) Gather or create 2 writing samples with the voice you intend to use (preferably in link form).
4) Open your e-mail account.
5) Empty your spam folder.
6) E-mail your query letter, writing samples and a resume/CV to rdacalos@indieartinc.com with the subject: "Query Letter Submission".
7) Keep in mind if you haven't done the above (save steps 1 and 5) we will not consider your submission. Also, though we accept articles about any art form (e.g. fashion, culinary arts, martial arts, etc.), we prefer features and reviews with a focus on Filipino artists. It should also be related to the next issue's theme ("Love"). We are looking for new and unique perspectives.
8) Give yourself a pat on the back. You did it. Deadline for all query letters is January 10, 2011.

Artwork:

We also accept artwork for our Folio / Online Gallery (Fo/GO). Send a digital copy of your work to rdacalos@indieartinc. (Again it must be related to next issue's theme, "Love").

Deadline is January 24, 2011.
