Gefen Publishing House of Jerusalem and New York has announced the February 20, 2011 Israeli and E-book publication date and the May 2, 2011 international publication date of its fascinating new novel, Haazinu (Listen Up) by Yerachmiel ben-Yishye. The launch of the novel has been combined with a $40,000 Literary Prize Contest, comprising three independent competitions: a $1000 Bible quiz, a $3000 riddle, and a $36,000 fiction writing competition, all based on the novel.

WHAT THE CONTEST IS:

The Contest comprises three (3) independent competitions, any or all of which an entrant must separately choose to enter: 1) a $1,000 Bible quiz, 2) a $3,000 riddle, and 3) a $36,000 fiction writing competition (hereinafter, the “Contest” refers to all three competitions in general). While the Contest comprises these three competitions, only the $1,000 Bible quiz competition is effective immediately. The other two (2) competitions have tentative effective dates set forth below, and further information will be forthcoming on them at www.gefenpublishing.com as their respective effective dates approach.

WHO MAY ENTER:

Entry into any competition of this Contest constitutes your full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Rules, and the decisions of the author of HAAZINU (Listen Up), the sponsor of the Contest (hereinafter the “author”), are final on all matters relating to the Contest. This Contest is exclusively electronic and limited to the Internet, and each entrant must have a valid e-mail Internet address. An entrant may be an individual or a charitable organization. If an individual, the entrant must be 18 years of age or older. If a charitable organization, the entrant must be duly constituted so as to be authorized to participate in the competition it enters as well as to receive the prize money, which will be paid by check in United States currency. No entrant may reside or be constituted, as the case may be, in a country embargoed by the United States. By entering the Contest, you accept sole responsibility for determining whether your participation is legal in any jurisdiction that applies to you. There is no fee to enter or win, nor any obligation to purchase anything. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. By entering any of the competitions of the Contest, the entrant specifically gives the Gefen Publishing House, Ltd. (hereinafter “Gefen”) permission to contact the entrant by e-mail with respect to any of the three competitions or any other publishing information about its list. Employees and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses and children, regardless of where they reside) or those living in the same household (whether or not related) of the author and Gefen, and the employees and respective immediate families (as more specifically identified above) of their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and advertising and publicity/promotion agencies, or anyone deriving Contest information therefrom are not eligible to enter or win.
