Imperial College Iraqi Society for the third year running is holding the biggest Iraqi networking event in London, the Iraqi Cultural Exhibition 2011.

This year, Iraqi Cultural Exhibition promises to be bigger and better – join us for a fantastic celebration of Iraqi culture!

We have the following performances lined up:

- A special performance from the Iraqi Oud player Khyam Allami (http://www.khyamallami.com/)

- A musical piece played on a replica of the ‘Golden Lyre of Ur’ one of the first string musical instruments in the world, discovered in Iraq and dating back to 4500 BC (http://www.lyre-of-ur.com/)

- Iraqi poetry by Ali Fadhil

- Iraqi Poetry by Hmim Al-Sawaf
