Editor

Responsibilities

* Develop and drive editorial content for Asia’s leading silver jewellery trade magazine
* Work jointly with advertising team to establish the magazine’s leadership position in the international jewellery trade
* Set editorial direction, write features and news articles, conduct interviews and research
* Edit/sub-edit content and overlook magazine’s layout production process
* Build and maintain an international client network and trade contacts
* Contribute to team’s other editorial projects, like Show Daily, special reports, etc.
* Provide training and guidance to junior staff

Requirements

* Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication or related disciplines
* At least 6 years of editorial experience in print, ideally with business discipline or b2b background
* High proficiency of written and spoken English, native English speaker is preferred (proficiency in Chinese is an advantage)
* A strong sense of news and an eye for details, good organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
* Self starter, diligent and a team player
* Willing to travel

(Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of “Assistant Editor”.)
