Entertainment content editor (French – English)

Job Purpose:

The content editor is responsible to manage, create & run a unique and appealing entertainment online editorial content portal on the Anayou platform (http://entertainment.anayou.com) . The candidate should have strong analytical & editorial skills in order to be able to create “class A” editorial content from available resources.

Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas:

Content creation

•Monitor content published on all Medias & coming from news agencies.
•Edits and repackages all available editorial content coming from entertainment news feeds in order to create unique Fassel content inventory
•Assumes full responsibility of Fassel’s editorial content

Content quality

•Ensure that the created editorial content is up to the industry known standards
•Ensure that all created content is error free.

Content updates

•Responsible for the Accuracy of updates time on the platform

Skills

Knowledge, skills, Experience & competencies:

Knowledge:

•Knowledge in the entertainment scene (Regional and International)
•Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of writing for the web
•Understanding of Web Content Management systems “CMS”
•Knowledge of the principles of online marketing including SEM and SEO

Experience:

•Minimum 2 years Experience in creating a wide range of content types including articles, reports, editorials, reviews
•Have commissioned and developed content for publication online
•Have worked with Web Content Management systems

Skills/Competencies:

Core skills (Must Have)

•Fluency in French and English is a must
•good creative writing and sub editing skills in French and English
•Good computer skills Preferably HTML and XML basic knowledge Good knowledge of CMS (Optional)
•Team player
•the ability to meet and exceed strict deadlines, no matter what circumstances prevail, mixed with a good sense of humour and team spirit is key to succeeding in this position.

Education:

• Relevant professional / vocational qualifications and portfolio of relevant work experience (essential)
•B.A. in Journalism (preferable)
