Tehran Cultural Artistic Organization's Women's Playwriting Contest

The writers can take part in Historical Women's Characters by working on the biography and character of an influential woman in the history of Iran or Islam in different fields of history, religion, science or arts.

The section on Women in Contemporary Society of Iran seeks to show the constructive role of contemporary women at both Iranian and world levels and the playwrights can participate in this section in different subcategories of 'Woman in Family', 'Woman in Society', 'Woman in Holy Defense and Islamic Revolution', 'Elite Women', and 'Role of Women in Civil Culture'.

The research section is also held in four categories of "A Survey of Women's Characters in Iran and World Drama", "Historical Characters of Muslim Women in Drama", "Character of Great Women of History and A Survey of its Dramatic Aspects", and "Women's Theater and Its Role in Society and Civil Culture".

Those interested can send three copies of their works accompanied with a CD including the Office Word file to No.20 (third floor), 12 Bahman St., Mirdamad Boulevard, Modares Highway no later than 2 December 2010.

The contest is held by the Art Deputy of the Cultural Artistic Organization of the Municipality of Tehran and the selects will be awarded in February.
