Call for Papers: SEPLAA South Asian Conference on Child Rights

The SEPLAA Foundation is holding the SEPLAA South Asian Conference on Child Rights (SSA-CCR) 2010 on Thursday, 23rd December, 2010 in Lahore, Pakistan.

The purpose of the conference will be to highlight areas of joint study, research and implementation of various areas of child rights including health, education and vocational training keeping in mind the welfare of the child as discussed under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Furthermore, the conference aims at inviting regional collaborations for dialogue and research for the promotion of child rights.

The conference format includes an introduction to the theme from scholars followed by two Panel Discussion Rounds. The first Panel Discussion theme will be ‘Impact of Existing Regional Laws on the Rights of the Child’ followed by ‘Child Rights: The next steps towards their guarantee, implementation and recognition’.
