ASM (The Association of Stories in Macao) is pleased to announce its annual prize for Creative Writing. Entries will be accepted in the following areas:

- short fiction (up to 5,000 words)
- poetry (a suite of poems or a single poem)
- life writing (up to 5,000 words)
- bilingual writing in any creative genre (where one of the texts is in English)

Anyone who was a student in Macao during the calendar year 2010 is eligible to enter. Both published and unpublished works may be entered. Works which are published should be acknowledged as such. Entries for the award should be sent by email attachment to KitKelen@umac.mo on or before Sunday 12th December. The subject line for the email should include ‘ASM Prize for Creative Writing 2010’ and the entrant’s name and the title of the work entered. The prize/s will be awarded at the ASM annual booklaunch to be held on Saturday 18th December at 4 pm at CCI (Macao Cultural Centre). More details of this event will be announced shortly.
