English Editor Needed (Beijing)

eChinacities.com is an English language site that provides expats in China and international visitors with information on travel, business, nightlife and entertainment, local culture, shopping, restaurant guides and events for 41 major cities in China, as well as an extensive nationwide job and classifieds section.

eChinacities.com is currently recruiting a full-time English editor to join its team in the Beijing office, preferably to start work immediately. Candidates should be highly motivated and dedicated to joining our hard-working team. If you are passionate about pursuing a career in the editing/writing field and meet the requirements below, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Native English speaker

2. Minimum one year (demonstrated) editing/writing experience.

3. A minimum one year of living experiences in China, preferably in Beijing

4. University degree

5. Outstanding skills in written and spoken English

6. Excellent communication skills

7. IT skills and keen interest in the web highly desirable

8. Keen interest in local culture and entertainment

9. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

10. Experience and/or qualifications in journalism preferred

11. Proficiency in mandarin an asset in consideration
