To cope with the Chinese business expansion, we are currently looking to hire a Chinese Sub-editor and Translator.

Chinese Sub-editor and Translator

Responsibilities:

* Take responsibility for the QC of the output from translation agencies
* Sub, translate and sub-edit the Chinese daily bulletin and selected materials
* Translate a monthly webinar and seminar scripts as and when required
* Ensure accurate and consistent translation on wgsn.com at all times
* Other translation tasks assigned by Chinese Language Editor/Business Director on ad hoc basis

Requirement:

* Preferably with journalism background and some fashion reporting background (in Simplified Chinese)
* Certificate in translation (English to Simplified Chinese) or equivalent
* Computer literate
* Written and verbal fluency in Mandarin and English
* Editorial skills is essential
* Good team player
* Minimum 1-2 years of sub-editing experience
