ASSOCIATE EDITOR - MEG
BASIC FUNCTION
The Associate Editor assumes the Editor-in-Chief’s duties and represents the magazine in his/her absence, is responsible for day-to-day operations, and enforcing editorial deadlines. He/She coordinates with Advertising in determining final pagination of the magazine and coordinating ad-based features, shoots and special executions.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduate of Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, Interior Design, Architecture or their equivalent
* At least 2 years of writing and editorial experience
* Excellent writing and copyediting skills
* Superior organization skills; dependability and punctuality in submitting deliverables
* Self-starter; good eye for composition, color & detail
* Willing to work extended hours if necessary
