Lecturers (Assistant Professor) - English

Candidates applying for the posts of Lecturers should apply on the prescribed form. Application forms can be obtained from the College Office on all working days (Monday to Friday) between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. either personally or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope. The application form for teaching post can also be downloaded from the college web site www.satyawatievedu.ac.in. Applications for the non-teaching posts may be submitted on plain papers. All the applications should be sent through Registered A.D. post or by hand under acknowledgement

Eligibility for Lecturers (Assistant Professor)

Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19.9.1991 and hold a Ph.D. degree) or an equivalent grade in the seven point scale with letter grade O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign university.

NOTE: NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post-graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for Post Graduate level and Under Graduate level teaching. The candidates having M. Phil degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for Under Graduate level teaching only.

Provided that the University/UGC may make any amendment in the above qualifications.

A relaxation of the minimum marks at the post-graduate level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted by UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for the JRF examination were 50%.
