Filled in applications will be received till 31.10.2010. Candidates required to send 10 sets of filled in application forms along with attested copies of all the testimonials separately with the application.

It is also required to send a non-refundable demand draft for Rs.200/- [Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates] drawn in favour of the Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.

For all positions candidates with the knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.

Those who are already in government service should send their application through proper channel.

Required qualification :

Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the University system, shall also possess at least
55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades
O,A,B,C,D,E, & F at the Master's degree level.

Five years of teaching experience and/or research excluding the period spent for
obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as
evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

Specialization in the Modern America Fiction, Modern British Literature, Comparative Literature, Contemporary Literary Theory, Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Indian Literature written in English, New Literature in English.
