“MAOIST THREAT: MEETING THE CHALLENGE”

RULES OF ESSAY COMPETITION

1. Competition is open to students of all universities in Delhi and NCR Region.

2. The subject of the essay is “Maoist Threat: Meeting the Challenge”. Essay may vary in length between 3,000 to 5,000 words. The word length should be shown in brackets at the end of the essay. Entries violating the length are liable to be rejected. The last date of submission is 15 Nov 2010.

3. All essays will be submitted on e-mail only in Arial font and size 12. Any essay received in CLAWS office will be rejected. All participants will forward their particulars along-with their ID details. The essay should be mailed at director.claws@gmail.com

4. The essay must be a personal and original effort without plagiarism and cut-paste job. Jointly written essays are not accepted.

5. Three judges chosen by Director CLAWS will adjudicate. The award of the judges will be final. Three cash prizes of Rs 15000/-, 10,000/- and Rs 5000/- will be given during CLAWS Raising Day function on 14 Jan 2011.

6. The best essay will be published in the CLAWS Summer 2011 Journal and second and third place essays will be published on the CLAWS website. The salient highlights of the winning essays will be sent to PMO/ MoD/ MHA and Army HQs.

7. CLAWS reserves the right not to make an award, if the essays submitted do not match the required standards.

8. Copyright of all essays submitted will be reserved by CLAWS.
