Sungkyunkwan University is the oldest university in Korea, and its TESOL Certificate Program is one of the most respected and innovative teacher education programs in Seoul. It currently has a faculty of six teachers, two of whom have been with the program since its inception in the year 2000.
Job Description
With one faculty member returning to his home country in early October due to a family emergency, the TESOL Certificate Program now finds itself in immediate need of an instructor to teach Multimedia and English for English Teachers courses. This is an exciting career opportunity for qualified instructors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or closely related subject, ideally with a specialization in multimedia
• Five years of teaching experience, preferably at the tertiary level
• Experience in teacher training or teacher education (a definite asset)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
• Teach pre-service and in-service teachers of English
• Engage in curriculum development
• Fifteen contact hours per week
• Two 18-week semesters per year
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience
• Medical and pension
• One month bonus payment upon completion of 12 month contract
