Deadline: 1 December 2010
Give us stories between 2000-8000 words exploring the bittersweet allure of the dysfunctional relationship.
Editor: Robin Wolfe
Compensation: Royalties are 25% on net revenue and will be divided equally among all contributors. All authors and artists will receive a free electronic copy of the anthology.
Publication Date: March 2011
Rights: Press retains exclusive rights for five years after date of publication. Books will be offered in all major eBook formats and in print-on-demand.
Guidelines:
* We’re specifically looking for stories about dysfunctional relationships, where you know the other person/people are bad for you, you know they’re unhealthy, and yet you can’t stop yourself from doing it… because the eroticism and/or sex is too hot to resist.
* These relationships or encounters have to be unhealthy from a physical and/or emotional and/or psychological perspective, and/or be with someone completely unsuitable for a relationship (ex-lover that you know is terrible for you? serial killer? monogamously married to a loving partner? your brother? your lover died two years ago and you just can’t stop visiting the mausoleum in the dead of night? you get the idea).
* If you want to get into Bad Romance, the story has to have an element of dysfunction, unhealthiness, or danger.
* Please refer to our general submission guidelines. We are also accepting submissions for cover art.
