The Palanca awards ceremony is a much-awaited event for Filipino writers and literary luminaries from around the country. This year, Gawad Dangal ng Lahi Awardee Gregorio Brillantes was the Guest of Honor, and the event was also graced by movie star Ricky Davao who was part of the judging panel for the one-act play category.
