The Sun
You’ll see me:
dancing along the streak
of smoke when I take
a flight from the river;
singing on the ripples
as the water flows
seeking to embrace the banks;
smiling across the horizon
of the sky in hue soon after
it rains with showers of hope.
I leave behind a shaft of light
for the night from where I pick up
again the next morning.
