Call for Submissions: Neon - a Literary Magazine

09 September 2010
Call for Submissions: Neon - a Literary Magazine
Deadline: open

What We Want

We seek work that is beautiful, shocking, intense and memorable. Darker pieces are generally favoured over humorous ones--as are free verse poems over those that rhyme. Genre work is welcome, experimentation is encouraged. There are no limits on form or wordcount.

Before submitting, please take the time to read an issue and join our mailing list. We appreciate it when writers show an interest by commenting on a recent issue.

Neon is listed at Duotrope's Digest, and Ralan.com. All work is read by Krishan Coupland.

Terms

Reprints: OK . Do let us know, so we can give credit.

Simultaneous submissions: OK. Do let us know if accepted elsewhere.

Multiple submissions: YES. If submitting poetry, or very short prose, please send several pieces, not just one.

Rights: Neon takes one-time online rights and archival rights to your work. After publication all rights revert back to you. Work will appear both on the website and in a widely-available PDF download.

Payment

We pay accepted authors a token fee of about £4, in exchange for 1-4 poems, 1-3 short prose pieces, or 1 longer prose piece. Payment is made by PayPal, on publication. For UK authors, payment by cheque is also possible.

How To Submit

Please submit work pasted into the body of an email. Include the word "submission" in the subject line, and a brief biographical note in the email.
