Date: 20 October - 19 November 2010
The search is on for Victoria's best spoken-word poet. Speak, scream, howl, whisper or sing your original poem at the Australian Poetry Slam, an electric live event where the audience is the judge.
After state-wide heats, our finest spoken-word poets will come together to battle it out at the Library for the title of Victoria's best slam poet.
Performances will be judged by a panel randomly selected from the audience.
Competition will be fierce as winners compete for a coveted place in the Australian Poetry Slam national final in Sydney on Sunday 5 December. National finalists will have a shot at winning all-expenses paid trips to the 2011 Ubud Writers and Readers Festival in Bali and the 2011 Bookworm International Literary Festival in Beijing.
