The 21st. Annual Reuben Rose Poetry Competition 2010 sponsored by 'Voices' The Israel English Poetry Association is now open. Entries must be received by October 7 (rolling deadline).

Submission Guidelines
*The competition is general and not necessarily on Jewish or Israeli subjects.
*Challenging, humorous and/or curious poetry is welcome.
*Poems should be unpublished, no more than 40 lines, not including stanza breaks and title.
*Submit two copies of each poem. Each poem must be on a separate page. One copy of each poem should have NO identifying information, the second copy should have your name and address written on it
*Enclose a cover letter providing the name(s) of the poem(s) submitted, with your full name, address, and phone number.
*Poems are judged anonymously; none will be returned
*Poems arriving after the closing date will be automatically entered into the next year's contest.
*Poems are preferably submitted as a WORD documents.
*Deadline: Competition poems must be received by 7th. October, 2010.
*Cost: 15 NIS per poem; US$5.00 per poem; or 3 pounds UK (£) per poem; or 4 Euros (€) per poem (these currencies only, payment by cash or check - please make checks payable to Voices Israel).
*Receipt of your poems is acknowledged if accompanied by S.A.S.E. or three stamped IRCs.

This Year's Judge
Judging anonymously by Prof. Seymour Mayne (University of Ottawa).
Seymour Mayne is the author, editor or translator of more than fifty books and monographs. His work is represented in eighty anthologies and his own writings have been translated into numerous languages. He will be conducting a creative writing workshop in Israel in January 2011.
