Prakash Paryekar Among the Winners of Bal Sahitya Puraskar Children's Literary Awards
Instituted by Sahitya Akademi in 2010, Puraskar winners are selected on the basis of for their contribution to children's literature in Indian languages. Among the first set of winners is Prakash Paryekar who, in 2007, was also awarded the Poet Laureate Padmashree B. B. Borkar award. Eminent Malayalam writer M T Vasudevan Nair and Sahitya Akademi chief Sunil Gangopadhyay attended the Puraskar awarding.
