The universal urge to be free' is the theme of Dakghar, where every character is symbolic. The play is full of narratives and imagination. A young boy, Amol, is condemned to seclusion and immobility because of poor health. Using his overactive imagination, he creates a world around himself. To him, the passers-by are the link to the real world. When a new post office opens in th...e village, Amol believes the King of the land will send him a letter.
