Contemporary Arab Writing Seminar Held During Library Book Fair
A seminar titled "Arts in Contemporary Arab Writing" was held at al-Assad National Library, organized by Shiekh Zayed's Book Award and the Syrian Ministry of Culture as part of the 26th al-Assad Library International Book Fair activities. Minister of Culture Riad Naasan Agha said the United Arab Emirates sponsors several awards in order to revitalize Arab culture, and that Shiekh Zayed's Book Award is one of the most important of them as it motivates scholars and cultural development in the Emirates and the Arab world. He also pointed out Syria's participation in the various Emirati cultural activities, particularly in music and theater.
