In collaboration with Iain Manley, Danwei is proud to present a new website, still in beta, to track China - Africa relations: African Boots.

Its name comes from the 2006 documentary film African Boots of Beijing shot and edited by Luke Mines and produced by your correspondent. The film was about Afrika United, a Beijing-based football team made up players from all over the African continent.

The new website is a place for news about Africans in China, Chinese in Africa and anything that concerns the relations between African countries and China, ranging from news from the Afrika United football team to serious journalism and commentary.

We are looking for contributors, especially people from Africa and Chinese people with African experience. Please write to jeremy -at - danwei.org if you are interested in participating. The website is still very much in development — comments, suggestions and criticism more than welcome.
