New Nature Writing Competition for Unpublished Authors (UK)
This competition is open only to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over. Employees of Elliott & Thompson, The Wildlife Trusts, Foyles, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with this competition are not permitted to enter.

Nature Tales: Encounters with Britain’s Wildlife is an anthology of iconic nature writing past and present. From Roger Deakin to Gilbert White, from Robert Macfarlane to JA Baker, this brand new volume encapsulates the wonders of coming face to face with wildlife in the British Isles.

We’re offering one previously unpublished writer the chance to be included within the anthology – alongside Charles Darwin, Richard Mabey, Ruth Padel and many more. To enter the competition, simply send us a personal, real-life encounter with Britain’s wildlife (in no more than 2,000 words).

The competition will be judged by a panel of experts including representatives of Elliott & Thompson, The Wildlife Trusts, Foyles and best-selling author Simon Barnes.

Entries must be received by midnight on Sunday 18th July 2010.
