Record Number of Abstracts for WALTIC
The Call for Papers, Best Practices and Stories has received a record number of abstracts!

More than one hundred contributions were submitted, most of which were of very high quality, making the selection process difficult. At this stage, 100 presenters from 30 countries have been accepted to the program. There are a considerable amount of presentations on all three main themes of the Congress: Cultural Translation, Freedom of Expression, and Authors’ Rights. Among the many exciting topics to be covered within the congress are: Alternative Publishing and Distribution Methods Stories of Exile, The Impact of NGOs on Literacy and Literature, Women and Poetry, The Role of the Writer in Areas of Conflict, etc. There is also a substantial number of writers from all over the world that will share the stories of their writing process and give detailed accounts of their latest works.

Asian countries represented are: Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Syria, etc.
