Originally from Baguio City, she is an associate professor, and currently Director of the MFA Creative Writing Program at Old Dominion University. Luisa thinks ripe golden mangos are best paired with sweet rice cakes. Lately, she has been baking Dulce de Leche cakes, which she serves with whiskey sauce.
