Come and join Annie Zaidi and Dilip D’Souza as they discuss the recently published book 'Known turf: Bantering with Bandits and Other True Tales' (Tranquebar 2010). The interactive session will explore the themes raised in the book and consider the underlying messages and stories conveyed. Conversation will be followed by discussion with the audience.
Dilip D’Souza is a Mumbai-based writer and journalist. His writing has won several awards including the Statesman Rural Reporting Award, the Times of India/Red Cross prize and the Outlook/Picador nonfiction prize. He is the author of ‘Branded by Law: Looking at India's Denotified Tribes’; ‘The Narmada Dammed: An Inquiry into the Politics of Development’; and more recently, ‘Roadrunner: An Indian Quest in America’.
