Description: The Annexe Gallery, located in the Central Market Annexe building, was launched in January 2007 as a centre for contemporary arts. Perfectly complementing the more traditional Central Market, The Annexe Gallery provides spaces for the ongoing expression of present generations. Since our opening, we have attracted countless youths and adults seeking ideas, insights and inspiration. We have an eclectic programmme of events, some of which we organise ourselves or organise in collaboration with other creative types, and others are by parties which pay us rent to use our venue for their events. Our regular collaborators include: the U.S. Embassy, Goethe Institute, Japan Foundation, British Council, Jendela KL, Valentine Willie Fine Art, Nyoba-Kan, Five Arts Centre, Instant Cafe Theatre, Matahari Books, Gerakbudaya, Dahuang Pictures, Dasein College of Art & Design, TheOtherMalaysia, Komas, Amnesty International, SUARAM, and our media sponsor TimeOut KL.
