Franny Choi, from Seoul, Korea, won the first leg of Poetry Slam Seoul held at Roofers Rooftop Restaurant in Itaewon last Saturday. The Seoul Slam Poet for 2010 will be crowned in August. Two more winners will be chosen for the Slam Team that will be on tour to promote slam poetry in Seoul, Korea. Winners will walk away with around 300,000 won in gift certificates.
