All budding Filipino MANGA artists are invited to join the 4th International MANGA Awards. MANGA is a comic book illustration style developed in Japan which enjoys wide readership and adopted by artists not only in the Japan but also in many parts of the world.
The Golden Prize for the 4th International MANGA will be given to the best MANGA from all the entries and three distinguished works will receive the Silver Prize. In addition, the top winners will get to visit Japan for ten days courtesy of the Japan Foundation and meet with prominent Japanese MANGA artists and publication companies.
The International MANGA Award was created to recognize the talents of MANGA artists from countries outside Japan who have contributed to the promotion and appreciation of MANGA.
Artists who have received recognition from the International MANGA Award includes a Filipino, Mr. Kriss Sison (artist of Ninja Girl Ko ), who received an Honorable Mention Award on the 2 nd International MANGA Award in 2008. Similarly, in the 1 st International MANGA Awards in 2007, the talents of two Filipino MANGA artists were recognized along with 17 other brilliant MANGA artists of different nationalities.
Entries to the 4 th International MANGA Award will be accepted until May 31, 2010 . Entries can be submitted to either of the following addresses:
