Fancy Fiction: a Course on Fantasy Story Writing

British Council is organising this 10 hour course with young adults with some prior knowledge of story writing. The course will include a complete session of writing a fantasy story and would take an intensive look at the methods involved in creating a believable fantasy story. The course will have a series of activities such as

* Thinking like a fantasy story writer and building a fantasy story
vocabulary
* Creating a suitable protagonist, his best friend, the villain and his
sidekick
* Creating a ‘realistic’ ‘imaginary’ setting
* Creating a plot outline
* Weaving all the above points together
