Espasyo Zine Call for Submissions
As part of its one-year anniversary in July 17, Espasyo Siningdikato will release a literary zine to showcase and highlight the literary and artistic talents of Cavitenos. Said zine will be a chapbook-type literary portfolio and will also include a poetry CD. We invite writers and visual artists from Cavite (Philippines) to submit the following:

1. up to 5 poems per author in English or Filipino
2. up to 3 short, short stories in English or Filipino (note, short stories must be 2 pages long only)
3. up to 2 essays/ letters/ creative non-fiction (must be 1-2 pages long only)
4. up to 3 artworks (painting, photographs, mixed media, sculpture, or whatever)

TO SUBMIT: Please send your submissions to bard_lizard@yahoo.com. Put ESPASYO ZINE SUBMISSION in subject line. Note: Text submissions, please do not attach, just cut and paste in the body of e-mail. Submissions close on June 10, 2010. Espasyo zine will be released on July 17, 2010. Regretfully, we cannot offer contributors a free copy, because proceeds will go towards fundraising.

We are also in need of Volunteer Editors for this issue of Espasyo Zine. The following positions are open.

Editor-in-chief: To edit the whole of the first issue. To write editorial and/or introduction.
Managing Editor: To tackle poetry CD ramifications.
Associate Editor in English: To select articles in English for inclusion in Espasyo zine.
Associate Editor in Filipino: To select articles in Filipino for inclusion in Espasyo zine.
Lay-out and Zine design to be executed by Valerie Faye Bautista and Ros Veluz.
