Research assistant for study on Arabic internet needed
I am a doctoral candidate in the final stage of writing my dissertation and see a talented research assistant experienced with conducting online research, fact-checking, Excel, formatting, transcription and Arabic translation/research. Must be able to read Arabic; aural comprehension also a plus. Must be highly proficient with online research tools and methods. Familiarity with Turabian bibliographic style preferred. I will pay a stipend of $1000 upon satisfactory completion of research tasks for appx. 3 months of work of up to 20 hours/week. The right candidate will have an interest in Arab politics, new media and journalism or writing. Attribution credit will be given if research is of high enough quality. Confidentiality agreement required. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring academic or journalist, and appropriate credit will be given in articles and books produced from the research.
