Untreed Reads Seeks Submissions for its 2010 Publication Year
Fiction

In addition to full length works, short and super-short works are always welcome. We prefer quality over the size of the work. Have a great 3,000 word idea? Terrific. 25,000? No problem. We will work with you to figure out what best suits everyone’s needs.

Nonfiction

Biographies, autobiographies, history, cultural and social works, and almost any business topic…we are open to whatever you may want to present to us. Pet stories are also welcome.

We’re interested in bringing together quality authors with eager readers. Untreed Reads IS a business, but it won’t forget its heart and ethics. All royalties are paid on a quarterly basis. Due to the nature of the ebook business, we do not provide advances.

What We Require From You

Full manuscript submissions should be sent in their entirety in DOC or TXT formats. If your work also contains graphs or charts, PDF is acceptable. We also accept proposals, as long as they are accompanied by a sample chapter so we can determine writing style. There is no restriction for formats on proposals/sample chapters. However, if your proposal is accepted, your final manuscript must be in one of the above formats. Other than format, we won’t tell you how to type out the way your dream comes to life: double space, single space, triple space…it’s all fine.

We, of course, provide some editing. However, a good writer should also be a fairly good editor. Poorly edited material submitted for consideration will be either returned to the author to obtain editorial services from a company of their choosing or through one recommended by the publisher.

All materials should be sent to submissions@untreedreads.com. Please include some information about yourself, your background, any other work you may have published and a brief blurb about your work. Don’t oversell it! Half the fun of discovering great work is in the reading.

Please direct questions to general@untreedreads.com.
