Call for Submissions: DSCJournal
DSCJournal is an annually published little magazine which has been in existence for the last six years. It was founded in 2004 by a small group of enthusiasts as part of a small forum for literary and socio-cultural activities. At present, we are operating in and around southern Assam, Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur in India. Our website is under construction and will be completely functional by the end of this month.

Since the inception of DSCJournal, we have been publishing serious literary work by poets, writers, critics and artists from all over India, Bangladesh and other countries outside Asia. The annual issue for 2010 will be launched in the month of April. This year's issue will feature a series of themes. A list is provided here.

1. REMEMBERING AND FORGETTING - SELECTING THE PAST AND THE PRESENT (Musings/statements/small essays relating to displacement and relocation in the context of the nation and culture)

2. POETRY AND ART (essays or papers with special focus on the Art of Tagore/The interrelationship of art and poetry)

3. LANGUAGE AND VIOLENCE (Musings/small essays centreing on the language movement in greater Bengal)

4. TRANSLATING POETRY (essays or papers on the dynamics of translation in literature with particular focus on the practice of translating poetry)

We would be very grateful if you would agree to contribute your work on any one of the above for our journal by the 15th of April, 2010. Your contribution would be a valuable addition to our enterprise.
