The pre-7th anniversary celebration of Kilometer64 Poetry Collective will happen on March 12 at TAuMBAYAN (T. Gener corner K1st, Kamuning, Q.C., Philippines) from 6pm onwards. Current members of the organization are Bobby Balingit, Joel Garduce, Mark Angeles, Che Marty, Alex Remollino, Jeff Pagaduan, Paul Roquia, Mark Funcion, Rom Factolerin, Patrick Orquia, Noel Barcelona, Kislap Alitaptap, Pia Montalban, Frances Escape, Maryjane Alejo, Louie Eslao, Ekis Jimenez, Danny Fabella, Abet and Oyayi Umil, Boy Dominguez, and Axel Pinpin.

The Roots Lounge is presented in community partnership with Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts & Culture. Round THREE of the 12th season of the Roots Lounge Open Mic & Poetry Slam is scheduled on March 15. All poets are welcome to sign up for either the open mic or poetry slam, as we start qualifications to represent Toronto at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Ottawa this fall.

A night of principle declaration & Spoken Word on March 13 at Route 196, Katipunan Ave. will have performances by the Ateneo Heights, Kooky Tuason, Karen Kunawicz, Maegan Aguilar, Gabby Dela Merced, Juddah Paolo, Aimee Marcos, Ginny Mata, Monique Obligacion, Charms Tianzon, Raul Roco, Jr., and a musical performance by Peryodiko, the band which brought us ‘Agawan Base’ and ‘Bakasyon.’ An open-mic portion is reserved for your own principles.
