Description: THE ASIAN WORD curates and produces live literature events, focusing on writing about Asia or Asians, from the eastern Mediterranean to Japan and Indonesia in the West. Founded by Adrienne Loftus Parkins, THE ASIAN WORD brings the genre of Asian writing to the British public to promote understanding of the varied cultures of that vast continent, and to foster understanding of Asian communities in Britain. Our products include individual events, themed series, and festivals focusing on fiction and non-fiction writing about Asia, Asians and Asian diaspora.
