Writing Across Cultures Symposium
The Asia-Pacific Writing Partnership, begun in 2005, brings together writers, scholars, writers’ organizations, translators, publishers and others interested in the development, exploration, distribution and promotion of writing from Asia and the Pacific. The Partnership supports diversity of cultural expression and literature that crosses borders. It champions the notion that literature enhances understanding between cultures.

We collaborate with universities, writers festivals and other organisations to organise event and initiate opportunities that benefit the region’s writers.

Our key event in 2010 is Writing Across Cultures at which writers who teach in some of the world’s top Creative Writing programs will talk about aspects of craft. This symposium for students and teachers of creative writing is hosted by the Department of English at the City University of Hong Kong and held in conjunction with the Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival in early March. (If you would like to participate in the symposium, please register online Here before 14 February 2010).
