Prabha Khaitan Foundation 2-Day Literary Event
The two-day literary event hosted by Prabha Khaitan Foundation in association with India International together of the Who’s Who from literary and cultural circuit.

The first day (Sunday) at ICCR was a day-long programme, where the Asian writers came together for a round table conference. Mahasweta Devi inuagurated the event by lighting the lamp. Other authors too followed suit by lighting diyas. Among the writers to join in from abroad were Donia Gobar (Afghanistan), Kishwar Naheed (Pakistan), Manju Kanchuli (Nepal), Kunzang Choden (Bhutan), Putsata Reang (Cambodia) and Agnes Lam (Hong Kong). The women writers from Kolkata to have shared the table with their foreign counterparts were Nabaneeta Deb Sen, Krishna Bose and Bani Basu. The other intellectuals to have taken part in the discussion were Bharati Ray, Jasodhara Bagchi and editors Malashri Lal and Sukrita Paul Kumar among others.

The function was jointly organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation and India International Centre and was attended by several city intellectuals and literary figures. The guests were joined in by Jogen Chowdhury, Amit Chaudhuri, Subodh Sarkar and Amalendu De.
