News Issue of Wasafiri Now Out
The Issue 60 of Wasafiri, "New Generations: Writing for Children and Young Adults," was edited by Beverley Naidoo and Shereen Pandit. It features the following poems and short stories by Asian writers:

Writers from all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to submit their works to the literary magazine. Here are the guidelines:

Wasafiri welcomes original, quality contributions from poets, fiction writers, academics and critics from all cultural backgrounds. We are particularly interested in informed and lively essays on the work of established and emerging writers or interviews with them. Submitted work is peer-reviewed by writers, critics and academics, ensuring Wasafiri’s long reputation for forging new perspectives and publishing the best in contemporary writing today.

Maximum Word Length
Articles/Essays/Fiction/Interviews: 5000 - 6000 words
Reviews of one title: 800 - 1000 words
Reviews of two titles: 1000 - 1200 words
Review Essays: 2500 - 3000 words
Poems: There is no limit on the number of poems (within reason) that can be submitted at any one time

We would recommend that you consult our style sheet before submitting your work. A covering letter with your full contact details should be sent with all submissions. Please DO NOT include your name on your manuscript. All submissions should be addressed directly to:
