In Srinigar, a contradictory place of erratic violence, privilege and extreme temperatures, a young military chef arrives at General Kumar’s camp. As a Sikh he feels secure in his allegiance to India in Kashmir’s on-going conflict, until he meets a Pakistanti “prisoner” who changes his life.

In this first appearance in London, Jaspreet Singh will talk with Justine Hardy, author of In the Valley of the Mist. Tickets : by phone: 020 7307 5454; email: enquiries@asiahouse.co.uk or online: http://asianatickets.com
